How do you identify contracting or subcontracting opportunities? What does it take to submit a proposal? What is a DUNS number, and why do you need one? Are you, or should you be registered in the CCR? What is fedbizopps and how do you use it to identify opportunities? What is a set aside? How do you decipher the jargon and acronym laden documents to understand the significance and relevance of terms like technical approach, past performance, management approach, quality control approach and evaluation of non-price/cost factors - not to mention SB, WOSB, MOSB, VOSB, SDVOSB, SBA 8(a)? Forensic Vocational Analysis: A Systematic A-Z Approach

This session draws its tenor from the belief that systematic gathering and use of foundational data, case information, credentials, methodology, preparation of opinions, and using this information credibly are some of the most important considerations for the vocational expert. Illustrated during this session will be a step-by-step guide to case analysis work and a "How-To Guide" for using clinical judgment as the sounding board toward the development of admissible opinions. This session will demonstrate systematic analysis steps that can be immediately applied back in one's own shop. While it should be looked upon as a starting point for new vocational experts, it will likewise provide food for thought for all professionals who engage in the forensic arena as expert witnesses.
